Ingredients
Ingredients Main:
Instructions
Start by gently wiping the lion's mane mushroom with a damp cloth or use a brush to remove any dirt or debris. Avoid washing them under running water, as they can absorb too much moisture and become soggy.
Examine the mushroom for any tough or discolored parts. Use a sharp knife to trim off these areas, ensuring you only keep the tender and fresh parts of the mushroom. Usually, the stem near the root is hard so remove it.
Trim any rough parts, usually near roots, and cut the mushroom into 1/2-inch thick slices.
If you have leftover lion's mane raw mushrooms, store them properly to maintain their freshness. Wrap them loosely in a paper towel and place the raw mushrooms in the same packaging container. Then, store them in the refrigerator's vegetable crisper drawer. Consume them within a few days for the best flavor and texture.
Cooking:
Heat a frying pan and add oil. Make a fried egg on medium heat.
Toast the bread on low heat and slice the vegetables.
On one bread piece add siracha mayo and top with lions mane nuggets. Put another piece of bread on top and add egg, veggies, cheese, and more sauce.
Close the sandwich with the third slice and cut into 4 equal pieces.
Serve with fries.
Safety Instructions:
Proper Knife Handling: When trimming and cutting the lion's mane mushroom, use a sharp knife and exercise caution to prevent accidental cuts. Always keep your fingers away from the blade and work on a stable surface.
Hot Oil Safety: When frying the nuggets, be cautious when working with hot oil. Use a deep saucepan with high sides to minimize the risk of oil splatters. Slowly lower the mushrooms into the oil to prevent hot oil from splashing onto your skin.
Heat Management: Ensure your cooking area is well-ventilated and free from any flammable materials. When heating the oil, monitor the temperature closely to avoid overheating and potential fire hazards. Never leave the oil unattended while it's heating or during the frying process.
Slips and Falls Prevention: Keep your cooking area clean and dry to prevent slips and falls. Wipe up any spills immediately and make sure no obstacles or clutter may cause accidents.
Food Handling and Cross-Contamination: Practice good hygiene by washing your hands thoroughly before handling any food. Use separate cutting boards and utensils for raw and cooked Ingredients to prevent cross-contamination. Clean and sanitize your equipment and work surfaces after handling raw Ingredients.
