Preparation

  1. Do not wash the golden oyster mushroom, rather brush off dirt, if any from the florets you plan to prepare
  2. In case cleansing is required, you may wipe gently with a damp paper towel
  3. You’ll find the clusters attached together by a little woody stem at the base That bit is slightly chewy, so it’s best to trim off the stem with a sharp knife
  4. Once the floret is separated, you may slice it into smaller pieces. You can also tear apart the florets gently by hand or slice with a knife. Golden oyster florets may be cooked whole as well

How Best to Cook

Golden Oyster Mushrooms take 3-4 minutes to cook.

These can be cooked in soups, mixed into sauces, sautéed and served over steak, cooked into omelets, sprinkled over pizza, or simply cooked and served on toast. They can also be stir-fried with other vegetables, baked in a tart, or sautéed until crispy and then crumbled to create buttery, bacon bits.

Golden oyster mushrooms pair well with poultry, seafood, vegetables and herbs, even other superfoods like quinoa and different kinds of nuts.

Details to note when cooking

We don’t recommend rinsing the golden oyster mushrooms before cooking because the delicate caps can fall apart or become waterlogged.
